Galaxy Cleaners Policies and Terms

Refunds & Returns Policy

Galaxy Cleaners follows policies set forth by the Fabricare Industry. The policies listed below are a standard for most of your local cleaners.

Galaxy Cleaners Policy

We exercise utmost care in cleaning and processing garments entrusted to us and use such processes which, in our opinion, are best suited to the nature and conditions of each individual garment. Nevertheless, we cannot assume responsibility for inherent weaknesses or defects in materials which may result in tears or development of small holes in fabric that are not readily apparent prior to processing. In dry cleaning and laundering we cannot guarantee against color loss, color bleeding, and shrinkage; or against damage to weak and tender fabrics.

Responsibility is also disclaimed for trimmings, buckles, beads, buttons, bells and sequins. The Laundry/Dry Cleaning Factories liability regarding any damaged items shall not exceed ten (10) times our charge for cleaning that garment regardless of brand or condition. Per our receipt we are not liable for orders left longer than 30 days.

We use several methods to remind our clients before it hits the 90 day mark.

Household Items and Leather/Suede Policy

All household items, leather and suede garments are cleaned 100% at customer’s own risk. We do require this at the time of drop off.

Galaxy Cleaners does not accept responsibility or liability for any damage or fading as a result of the laundry/dry cleaning process as stated on the back of all of your receipts.

Re-Cleaning Policy within two (2) days after pick-up, you may return any dry cleaned or laundered items if you are not completely satisfied with the quality of our cleaning, and we will re-clean them free of chargers long as the original tags are still attached to the garment and a pick up slip is provided.

Loss Policy

We exercise utmost care in processing clothing items received to avoid misplacement or loss of items. However, there will be instances where items may get misplaced or lost. As such, differences in count must be reported within 24 hours of drop off. Unless a list accompanies the bundle, our count must be accepted. Galaxy Cleaners liability regarding any lost item shall not exceed ten (10) times our charge for cleaning that garment regardless of brand or condition excluding leather, suede and household items which are at customers own risk at all times.

Refund Policy

We issue a full refund to our customers in the case of loss under the premises of:

  • The total replacement cost does not exceed a dollar amount of ten times the charge of cleaning.
  • The lost item entity does not fall under the umbrella of household, leather or suede item as outlined by the "Household Items and Leather/Suede Policy".

When you take a garment to be cleaned please inform our team of any problem stains as some stains can appear from the heat of the press such as sugar which may not be visible until the garment is pressed. The longer the stain is allowed to set into the garment, the harder it is to treat it.

Some clothing items may lack durability during most cleaning processes such as cashmere and wool. This can cause the garments to get snagged easily and have sag even with the utmost care and netting them prior to cleaning.

There is no way to judge how stable the color is of garments and how they will fade during the cleaning process regardless of our careful handling techniques. If an item fades immensely and it is brand new, we advise you to return it to the retailer that your purchased it from as it may be defective.

Fading of textiles can also commonly occur due to sunlight and we often see the color fading on the pant legs of the driver side of a clients garment. There is no way to prevent this and the color loss becomes more prominent following the cleaning. This often goes undetected over time. The dyes used on textiles such as leathers, silks and acetates are more susceptible to color loss.

Garment holdbacks

Sometimes upon the request of our clients, treating stains may take a bit longer to process orders. We use a manual spotting system of safe products based on the PH of the stain in order to find what works best. We can expedite these orders if our Team Members are informed right away on what type of stain may be on the garment.

We do not guarantee stains come out, however we do our best to remove them to the best of our ability using the safest spotting agents in our industry.
